Frequently asked questions

Honest, direct answers to the questions you have before you trust us.

Your questions, our answers

Are you lawyers?

No. Justice sans frontières is not a law firm and we do not give legal advice. We provide general legal information in plain language and point people to the right resources. For guidance specific to your situation, consult a legal professional.

Is it free?

Yes. Browsing our information resources is entirely free, and it will stay that way. We charge the public nothing and we don't put a paywall on information.

Is my information confidential?

Yes. Your contact details (name, email, phone) and the content of your messages stay in our secure management systems and are never published or sold. If a technical report leads to a public issue, that issue contains only an anonymized summary. For full details, see our privacy policy.

What's the link with juge.ca and judge911?

Justice sans frontières is an initiative of AXAI Innovations — the same company that builds the juge.ca and judge911 platforms. We state this openly. When we point to juge.ca, it's because the tool can genuinely help — not to inflate sales. We point just as regularly to external, independent resources.

Are you a registered charity?

Not at this time. Justice sans frontières is an emerging access-to-justice initiative, carried and funded by AXAI Innovations. We do not solicit tax-deductible donations. As the initiative grows, we intend to formalize its structure and communicate that openly.

Do you give legal advice or opinions?

No. We explain information and point to resources, but we don't replace a lawyer, notary or paralegal. If your situation needs legal advice, we help you find the right door to knock on.

Does your information apply everywhere in Canada?

Our content focuses first on Québec and Québec law, then the rest of Canada where it applies. The law varies from province to province: always check that a resource matches your province or territory before acting.

I'm a whistleblower. Can you help me?

Whistleblower protection is at the heart of our mission. We provide information about your rights and remedies and point you to specialized resources. We can't represent you, but we can help you understand your options and find the right support.

How can I reach you?

Write to us at contact@justicesansfrontieres.ca. For a technical problem on the platform, use our support form, which routes your request straight to the right team.

How can I help or get involved?

In several ways: offer pro-bono hours if you're a legal professional, list a community organization, give time or skills (translation, design, development), support financially, or simply share our resources. Visit our Get involved page to start.

Can't find your answer?
