How we protect your personal information
We collect the bare minimum, we tell you exactly why, and we give you the means to access your information or have it deleted. This page describes our actual practices, in plain language.
Last updated: June 19, 2026
Justice sans frontières is an initiative of AXAI Innovations. This policy explains how we handle the personal information you entrust to us on this site. It is written to comply with Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as modernized by Law 25.
This page describes our actual data flows. It is not legal advice. If a practice changes, we will update this page and note the date.
Who is responsible for your information
The party responsible for processing your personal information is AXAI Innovations, which operates Justice sans frontières. The person responsible for the protection of personal information within the organization is Jonathan Mitchell Anderson, founder.
For any question, access request or deletion request, write to contact@justicesansfrontieres.ca.
What information we collect
We only collect information you provide voluntarily, through two channels:
- Newsletter: your name and email address, when you choose to subscribe. This is processed using HubSpot.
- Support and contact form: your name, email address and, optionally, your phone number, along with the content of your message (subject, description, request type).
- We never ask for confidential documents from your legal file, and we recommend you do not attach any.
Why we collect it
- Newsletter: to send you news, resources and updates about access to justice, only if you have consented.
- Support and contact form: to answer your request, follow up on a bug report or question, and improve the platform.
- We do not use your information for targeted advertising and we never sell it.
Where your information goes
Your information is processed by a small number of service providers acting on our behalf:
- HubSpot — newsletter management and handling of requests received through the form. HubSpot may host data outside Québec, including in the United States.
- Our web hosting infrastructure, which serves the site's pages and receives form submissions.
- When a technical report leads to a public engineering issue, that issue contains only an anonymized technical summary — never your contact details or confidential information.
Disclosure outside Québec
Some of our providers, such as HubSpot, may process or store your information outside Québec. Where that happens, we rely on recognized providers that offer protection comparable to what Québec requires. By submitting your information, you understand it may be processed outside Québec for these purposes.
How long we keep it
- Newsletter subscription: for as long as you remain subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every mailing.
- Support and contact requests: kept for as long as needed to handle your request and follow up, then archived or deleted when no longer useful.
- When your information no longer serves the purposes for which it was collected, we delete or anonymize it.
Your rights: access, correction, deletion
Under Law 25, you have the right to know what information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is inaccurate, and to request its deletion. You may also withdraw your consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, write to contact@justicesansfrontieres.ca and describe your request. We will respond within the timeframes set by law. If our response does not satisfy you, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
Cookies and audience measurement
The site runs on a minimum of cookies. The tools we use, such as HubSpot, may set cookies needed to operate the forms or for basic audience measurement. We do not use your information for behavioural advertising.
Security
Your contact details and the content of your requests stay in our secure management systems and are never published. We take reasonable measures to protect your information against loss, unauthorized access and disclosure.
